Program Evaluation/Degree Audit
Students should review their academic progress each semester by accessing the Program Evaluation tool in KC Self-Service through the KC Portal. Although advisors and College staff provide guidance, students are ultimately responsible for monitoring their academic progress and ensuring all degree requirements are met satisfactorily and completed in accordance with institutional and divisional policies.
Students seeking to transfer coursework from another institution or to receive credit through an approved examination program must arrange for official transcripts or official score reports to be sent directly to the Office of Records and Registration. Transfer credit cannot be awarded until official documentation is received. Students who plan to complete coursework at another institution while enrolled at Keuka College must obtain prior approval by submitting a Non-Keuka College Coursework Approval form through the Office of Records and Registration.
When a course substitution or waiver is needed to satisfy a degree requirement, students submit the Course Substitution and Waiver form for approval. Approved substitutions and waivers are recorded in the student information system and reflected in the student's program evaluation. Requests must include the required divisional approvals before they can be processed. Failure to submit the appropriate documentation may result in inaccurate degree audits and delays in degree conferral.
Students should carefully consider the academic implications of course waivers. Waiving a program requirement does not reduce overall degree requirements and may create deficiencies in other areas, including minimum liberal arts credit requirements, total degree credits, or other graduation requirements. Students are encouraged to consult with their faculty advisor and the Office of Records and Registration before requesting a waiver to ensure they understand any potential impact on degree completion.
