Academic Credit Standing
Academic credit standing reflects the total number of credits earned and accepted toward an undergraduate degree, including applicable transfer credits. Credit standing is used for administrative purposes such as registration priority, prerequisite enforcement, course eligibility, and housing selection. A student's academic credit standing may differ from their year in the program because classifications are based on earned credits rather than time enrolled.
Undergraduate classifications are:
- Senior: 85 or more credits
- Junior: 55–84 credits
- Sophomore: 26–54 credits
- First-Year: 0–25 credits
