Article XIV - Communication with the Board of Trustees
The president of the College is the channel of communication between the faculty and the Board of Trustees. The president may invite members of the faculty to present and interact with the Board of Trustees. it is the duty of the president to ensure that faculty views and recommendations are presented to the board in those areas and on those issues where responsibilities are shared. Similarly, the faculty should be informed of the views of the board on like issues. It is also the duty of the president to perform all official functions within the limits of institutional policies and procedures properly recommended by the faculty and adopted by the board. Should the president fail to fulfill these duties, the faculty, through the Faculty Liaison Committee, can request a meeting with the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees to transmit faculty concerns and recommendations with respect to the president's performance of these duties. The president shall be notified that the Faculty Liaison Committee has requested such a meeting.
