Faculty Handbook 2025-2026

PART G - UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE CURRICULUM MODIFICATIONS: POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

The faculty, as a whole and through its committees, has the responsibility for developing, evaluating, and providing initial approval of curricular modifications. The Curriculum Committee is charged with oversight of the undergraduate and graduate curriculums. All curricular changes will be submitted to the provost for final approval in time for annual college catalog updates. Faculty should be aware that curricular approvals requiring New York State Department of Education approval or the approval of external accreditors require months for the proposal development, curricular approvals, student recruitment, and implementation processes to be completed. Consultation with the provost and associate vice president of institutional effectives is required early and often throughout the curriculum approval process.
