EDU-393 SWD All Grades Education Field Period
An off-campus classroom field experience with exposure to children having identified disabilities and exposure to alternative curriculum materials, accommodating strategies, behavior management techniques, special education instructional methodology and the professional role of the special educator. The supervisor must be a special educator. The chronological age of the children should reflect the extended grades needed for special education at all grades (Adolescent majors need to work in grades P-6, Childhood in grades 7-12, and Early Childhood in 7-12). This cannot be taken as a First-Year Field Period.
