EDU-308 Teaching in Inclusive Settings
This course emphasizes the role of the special education teacher as decision-maker; one who manages the instructional/learning environment to achieve optimal outcomes for all students. Included in this course are the preparation of IEPs & IFSPs, co-teaching strategies for inclusive settings, communications with students, parents, peers and colleagues, test and instructional modifications, and the use of assistive technology. A distinct feature of this course is an examination of the relationship between the regular and special educators and the need for collaboration to ensure positive learning outcomes for all students B-2.
