EDU-343 Education of Students with Low Incidence Disabilities

This course will provide candidates with a comprehensive review of current information about low incidence disabilities. This course draws on research findings and clinical experience from a number of related disciplines, including psychiatry, psychology, neurobiology and special education disability studies. This is also designed to help teachers develop, adapt and implement literacy and numeracy curriculum and assessments for students with severe and/or multiple disabilities. In addition, standards based and functional curriculum planning will be explored.
