KC-201M Wellness: Leading Self and Others: Peer Mentor Training * †
In this course, students explore the eight dimensions of wellness and develop a wellness mindset through the lens of the course topic. Through participation in experiential and problem-solving activities, students will acquire knowledge and skills that support the practice of wellness in daily life. Students will be guided, through self-assessment and reflection, to identify areas in their life where the practice of wellness will be most beneficial. Finally, students will develop an individualized wellness plan to positively impact self and others. Students may take up to three different Wellness topics for credit. This course helps students understand and manage the complex role of being a college student. Students will gain knowledge and skills that will support their wellness. In addition to their own wellness, students will learn how to support the wellness and patterns of behaviors that lead to success for other college students as peer mentors in the future.
