Keuka College’s Compass Curriculum (general education) offers students a core series of courses to guide the discovery of new directions throughout their college learning experiences. The Compass Curriculum prepares students to advance solutions to complex challenges as citizens and leaders in their community and beyond.
Get ready to explore new directions. The Strengthen Series of courses builds the foundation of skills essential to students’ overall academic pathway and career success.
Curiosity. Creativity. Problem Solving. In the Empower Series, students expand their knowledge. These courses build interdisciplinary knowledge and give students the key skills employers are looking for. They will grow in critical thinking, hone their communication skills, and deepen their capacity for teamwork and experiential learning.
Prepare to Impact the community. In their junior or senior year, the Impact Capstone (KC 301) offers students the opportunity to put together their learning, reflect on their growth, and make a difference in their community. The various topics for the Impact Capstone course all showcase problem solving, teamwork, empathy, and communication skills. They will gain the ability to tackle intricate real-world situations and make well-informed decisions that enhance the quality of life in diverse communities.
