KC-201A Wellness: Adulting † *
In this course, students explore the eight dimensions of wellness and develop a wellness mindset through the lens of the course topic. Through participation in experiential and problem-solving activities, students will acquire knowledge and skills that support the practice of wellness in daily life. Students will be guided, through self-assessment and reflection, to identify areas in their life where the practice of wellness will be most beneficial. Finally, students will develop an individualized wellness plan to positively impact self and others. Students may take up to three different Wellness topics for credit. This course will address a range of topics related to adulting in the areas of body (physical health and day-to-day living), mind (intellectual growth and exploration), and spirit (personal values and growth). Specific topics to be set by participants at the beginning of the semester based on mutual goals and areas of interest, but will cover financial, political, and legal responsibility as well as personal development and a growth mindset.
