Course Load
A normal course load is defined as at least 12 but not more than 18 semester credit hours for the fall and spring semester. o fulfill the requirements of a degree program in four years, a student must complete an average of 30 semester credits each year, including three semester credits for a Field Period experience. Some programs require slightly larger loads. Students typically enroll in five 3-credit courses each semester.
Any student wishing to deviate from the minimum or maximum course load for each semester must submit an exception to policy..
A per-credit charge is assessed for over 18 credit hours a semester or 36 per year.
Minimum Enrollment
Under-enrolled courses may be cancelled or rescheduled at the discretion of the Division Chair.
Students must monitor cancellation communications and their semester schedule and add credit as needed to retain minimum enrollment.
Full time is considered 12 credits per semester.
