Religious Holidays
Keuka College is committed to respecting the religious beliefs and spiritual traditions of its entire community of faculty, staff, and students, and will comply with all relevant portions of the state law on religious holidays. The College will provide “equivalent opportunities” to make up any absences, examinations, study, or work requirements for students who miss class due to their religious beliefs and/ or observances.
If observing a religious holiday conflicts with the responsibilities of a student regarding class attendance and participation, students are responsible for articulating their needs with their professor. This conversation should take place at the beginning of the semester in order to avoid last minute complications.
For more information, students are urged to review the relevant portions of the Student Handbook.
