Natural Sciences and Mathematics
The Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics includes the disciplines of biology, chemistry, environmental science, mathematics, medical technology, and physics. The division offers majors leading to the bachelor of arts degree in biochemistry, biology, adolescent biology education, mathematics, adolescent mathematics education, and adolescent chemistry education. The bachelor of science degree is given in applied mathematics and finance, medical technology, and environmental science.
Students are assisted individually in the design of programs in premedical and other pre-professional areas. The medical technology degree is delivered as a 3+1 program with the Rochester General Hospital Clinical and UPMC Chautauqua WCA Laboratory Science Programs. Physics courses are offered as support courses for other science programs.
