Military Leave

The College will provide military leaves of absence and reinstatement for qualifying employees in accordance with applicable law. Military leave is typically unpaid. However, the College will pay an employee the difference between their normal weekly compensation (base rate/salary) and military duty pay (paid by the military) for up to two (2) weeks per calendar year. Proof of military compensation must be provided to payroll in order to process payment. Any additional time required beyond two (2) weeks shall be unpaid, except as otherwise required by law. Employees may use any available paid time off in lieu of unpaid leave to the extent permissible by law. If an employee needs to take military leave, they should contact The Office of Human Resources as soon as their need to take such leave arises.
