Higher Education Opportunity Program
The Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) is committed to offering higher education opportunities to New York state high school graduates and GED holders who do not normally meet admission criteria but have the potential for success at Keuka College.
HEOP students at Keuka College receive academic and financial assistance that will allow them to successfully earn an undergraduate degree. Sponsored jointly by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) and Keuka College, HEOP will offer comprehensive academic support services and full-need financial aid packaging.
In addition to meeting the Universal Admission Requirements, those interested in HEOP must meet the following criteria:
- Be a full-time resident of New York state whose household income meets the established annual guidelines.
- First-time students must have a minimum secondary school GPA of 73-81%.
- Applicants who attend a New York state-designated High Needs/Resource Capacity school district may still be eligible if their GPA exceeds 81%.
- Applicants who wish to transfer from an eligible opportunity program at another college or university must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. To be considered, transfer applicants must be currently enrolled in an eligible opportunity program at a prior institution.
- Complete an in-person or virtual interview.
- Participate in the Keuka College Summer Institute, a four-week, pre-college program.
Additional information may be required upon request.
