Institutional Policy
Exceptions may be made to Keuka College academic policies as published in the Faculty and Student Handbooks if the requested variation does not violate the intent of the policy from which exception is requested. A student seeking an exception must clearly articulate the rationale for granting such an exception, including an argument that the exception does not violate the spirit of the original policy. Faculty advisors and other members of the Faculty (where relevant) may/should make recommendations. To ensure equitable application of exceptions, the Provost or designee has authority for ruling on such requests. The Instruction Committee will rule on any appeals to a negative decision by the Provost or designee.
