Review of Satisfactory Academic Progress
An Academic Review Board (ARB) meets regularly to determine the academic progress of all students according to the standards outlined in the previous section. As noted, additional requirements may apply to some majors/programs. Each student is reviewed individually. The measures of academic progress are independent and students must therefore meet all of the requirements (credits, cumulative GPA, and Field Period completion if applicable) to demonstrate SAP. Any student failing to meet any one (or more) of the minimum criteria for satisfactory academic progress will receive one of the following actions: letter of concern, academic warning, probation, or suspension. In some cases the ARB may recommend alternative actions appropriate for specific situations. Please see on-campus process document or AOE process document for specific descriptions of actions associated with failure to demonstrate SAP.
