Secondary Employment

An exempt full-time employee (regularly scheduled 40 hours each work week) normally is appointed to one position at one established rate of pay. However, the College allows additional employment for a permanent full-time employee under certain circumstances. An employee must notify their supervisor before engaging in any secondary employment. An employee’s secondary employment cannot have an adverse effect on the employee’s primary employment and does not create a conflict of interest. An employee will be expected and required to continue to meet all of their duties and expectations of their primary employment.
