Employee Handbook 2024-2025

Open Door Policy

The College is committed to maintaining a work environment free from elements that would deter you from doing your best work. The College maintains this policy so that you feel comfortable raising and discussing any workplace issues you may have. You are encouraged to report any issues or problems in the workplace to your immediate supervisor, Department and/or Division Head, or The Office of Human Resources. Your supervisor, Department and/or Division Head, and/or The Office of Human Resources will take appropriate steps to address the issue, including conducting an investigation, where appropriate, or taking any other remedial action. The College values your feedback and input and does not tolerate retaliation against employees who use this “open door” procedure to raise good faith concerns or issues.  Employees will not be penalized for raising a problem or issue in a reasonable manner pursuant to the procedure in this policy.  However, nothing in this policy or procedure is intended to prevent, limit, or delay the College from taking disciplinary action against any employee.

If at any time an employee feels they have any reason for concern and or a complaint, with any part of the College’s operations or policies, they must immediately notify The Office of Human Resources or the President (including verbally, if necessary to effectuate an immediate remedy due to situational circumstances). The college will endeavor to resolve concerns in a quick, effective and professional manner. Additionally, while the College appreciates and values suggestions, recommendations, and feedback, the College cannot implement every recommendation or suggestion.
