Auditing a Course
Auditing is open to both degree seeking and non-degree seeking students. A student must register to audit a course as indicated below and is expected to participate in the work of the course. Auditors are not typically required to take a final examination. When auditing, no credit is earned and no grade is earned. Students who opt to audit a course are subject to the auditing fee as listed in the College Cost section of the catalog. Courses that are being audited are not covered by financial aid and cannot count towards full-time status for a matriculated student.
Students requesting to audit a class are permitted to do so once a semester with instructor and advisor approval. Matriculated students who wish to audit a class must submit a written request to the Registrar's Office. Non-matriculated students who wish to audit a course must submit a non-matriculated enrollment form, found on the Registrar's Office website. Auditing is not available for professional licensure courses. Requests to audit a course are approved if space permits and if instructor approval has been granted.
