Honors Living Learning Community
What is a Living Learning Community?
A Living-Learning Community (LLC) is an intentional, residential community arranged around a specific academic curriculum and/or interest. In a living-learning community, participants live together on campus, share in an academic or co-curricular endeavor, engage in structured activities in their residence environment that emphasize faculty and peer interaction, and use special resources in their residential environment. The theme of the Honors Program LLC is Leadership Development. The location for 24-25 is Saunders Hall.
First-year students in the Honors Program are invited to be part of a cohort model where they live together and attend their first-year Honors courses together. There will be monthly meetings in addition to a calendar of regular events and activities.
As a result of participating in the Honors LLC, students will
- Establish social connections with other students in the LLC by participating in LLC social activities and events
- Interact with LLC faculty in structured activities in their residence environment that emphasize faculty and peer interaction
