Undergraduate Admissions Eligibility

Applicants for undergraduate admission must possess a high school diploma or a recognized equivalent (e.g., GED). Additional requirements may apply for specific programs.

Applicants from Secondary Schools Without Traditional Grades

First-time applicants from secondary schools that do not provide traditional letter grades or a grade point average (GPA) must submit a portfolio of academic work and other evidence of academic achievement. This may include narrative evaluations, competency transcripts, capstone projects, writing samples, or  standardized test scores, if submitted. The portfolio will be evaluated through a holistic review process for admission and merit scholarship eligibility.

Homeschooled Applicants 

Keuka College welcomes homeschooled applicants, who apply through the standard first-year application and are reviewed holistically. Because state requirements vary, so does the documentation we request. All applicants should submit a complete academic record for their secondary studies, listing course titles, credit hours, grades or narrative evaluations, and a calculated cumulative grade point average where available. Students from accredited home study or umbrella programs should submit an official transcript from that institution in place of this record. New York State applicants should include their most recent Individualized Home Instruction Plan (IHIP). Keuka College may also request written confirmation from the affiliated district superintendent that the student has met, or is on track to meet, applicable graduation requirements. Applicants from states without district oversight may submit a parent-prepared transcript and a signed statement of completion. Official transcripts are required for any dual-enrollment coursework, and a recommendation from a non-parent is encouraged. A high school equivalency diploma is not required for admission. Homeschooled applicants receive full consideration for merit scholarships; where a grade point average is unavailable, merit eligibility is determined through a comprehensive review of the academic record.
