Workers Compensation Insurance

The College provides workers’ compensation insurance coverage to all employees in accordance with New York State law. Worker’s Compensation Insurance is a wage replacement benefit available to eligible employees who are unable to work or are injured as a result of a work-related injury or illness. Eligibility and benefits are governed by the Worker’s Compensation Law and Worker’s Compensation Board. The College pays the entire premium for this policy.

All accidents, even seemingly minor ones, must be communicated to a supervisor and/or Department and/or Division Head, and The Office of Human Resources within 24 hours of the accident.  Failure to receive medical treatment or make a report in a timely manner may affect or jeopardize eligibility for workers’ compensation benefits.
