Athletics and Recreation

Keuka College offers a wide variety of intercollegiate athletic teams and recreational programs. For those with successful prior sports experience and interest, there are varsity teams. For others, there is the opportunity to participate in the recreation program, where both competitive and non-competitive leisure activities are offered.

Intercollegiate Athletics

The intercollegiate teams are members of the NCAA Division III and the Empire 8 Conference. Women's sports include soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, field hockey, lacrosse, golf, and cross-country. Men’s sports include basketball, lacrosse, soccer, baseball, golf, and cross-country. Co-ed sports include cheerleading and Esports.

Indoor facilities include two gymnasiums, locker rooms, fitness and strength centers, video-conference room, and an athletic training suite. The Jephson Community Athletic Complex features Kuhl Field (baseball), a softball field, several practice fields, and a lighted artificial turf competition field. Keuka College also supports an Esports arena for competitive and recreational gaming.

Campus Recreation
Campus Recreation offers a variety of programs including:

  • Intramural Sports – These are co-recreational, organized leagues and tournaments. Typical programs include indoor soccer, flag football, floor hockey, basketball, volleyball, softball, and lawn game tournaments.
  • Adventure Program – The adventure program is highlighted by off-campus excursions, equipment checkout (e.g., bikes, lawn games, camping gear), waterfront activities and boating, and leadership/teambuilding training.
  • Club Sports – Competitive non-varsity teams can be developed through the club sports program. Past teams include Dance, Ultimate Frisbee, Fishing, Tennis, and Equestrian.
  • Fitness – Access to the College’s fitness areas is managed by Campus Recreation. Events, competitions, and fitness classes are offered throughout the year.
