Article VII: Communication with the Board of Trustees

The President of the College is the channel of formal communication between the Academic Faculty and the Board of Trustees. It is the duty of the President to ensure that Faculty views and recommendations are presented to the Board in those areas and on those issues where responsibilities are shared. Similarly, the Academic Faculty should be informed of the views of the Board on like issues. It is also the duty of the President to perform all official functions within the limits of institutional policies and procedures properly adopted by the Academic Faculty and the Board. Should the President fail to fulfill these duties, the Academic Faculty is empowered to authorize the Faculty Liaison Committee to request a meeting with the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees to transmit Faculty concerns and recommendations. The President shall be notified that the Faculty Liaison Committee has requested such a meeting.
