ENG-145 Literature of New York State *

This course focuses on works of imaginative literature from the state of New York and challenges students to consider the implications and consequences of historical and cultural constructions of place. Through reading, discussing, and writing about literature that specifically considers human interactions with their physical environments, students explore the means by which the natural world is understood and represented, and they interrogate the ways physical spaces are reorganized into cultural places.
