ENG-112.H HONORS: Writing as Argument *

This course focuses on writing as research-based argument. As a means of arriving at and writing from committed stances, student writers learn to seek out, interrogate, and effectively use a variety of popular and academic sources. Students write in academic and professional modes, putting their own ideas in conversation with the ideas of others, and shaping arguments for multiple purposes and audiences. Particular emphasis is placed on advanced digital and information literacy skills. The Honors section of this course includes additional experiential learning, field-based research, and the production of a public-facing composition.
