COVID-19 Policy Addendum

COVID-19 Policy Addendum:
    • In accordance with updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and New York State guidelines, fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in most locations on the Keuka College campus. Existing prevention measures remain for unvaccinated people.

    • In general, people are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine. If you have a condition or are taking medications that weaken your immune system, you may NOT be fully protected even if you are vaccinated. Talk to your health care provider. Even after vaccination, you may need to continue taking all precautions.

    • Additionally, fully vaccinated people on campus can refrain from testing following a known exposure, if asymptomatic, and need not participate in surveillance testing.

    • Fully vaccinated members of the Keuka College community can resume domestic travel and refrain from testing before or after travel and need not self-quarantine after travel. Fully vaccinated people can refrain from testing before leaving the United States, unless required by the destination country, and refrain from self-quarantine after arriving back in the United States.

    • All members of the Keuka College community are required to continue all prior guidance when visiting the Health & Counseling Center, as required by New York State.

    • Previous restrictions that closed the Keuka College campus are lifted. All visitors to campus need to wear a mask at all times, no matter what time of day or night.
