Transfer Credits
Coursework transferred from another accredited institution after entering Keuka College as a student is by credit only. Credit is only given for courses with a grade of C or higher. Grades do not transfer and are not calculated in the student’s GPA. Keuka College student GPAs are computed based only on credits earned at Keuka College. The number of credits completed toward a degree includes credits accepted by transfer. Students who wish to take a course at another institution must submit a Non-Keuka Coursework form to the Registrar’s Office.
Students who have failed a Keuka College course cannot take an equivalent course at another institution and transfer the credit. The only way to fulfill the requirement and remove the F is to repeat the course at Keuka College. Students may submit an exception to policy if they wish to deviate from this rule. However, students should understand that if they transfer a course in after they have previously failed the equivalent course at Keuka College, the previous grade earned will stand and the student will not have the opportunity to replace the computation of that grade in their GPA.
Coursework taken after entering Keuka College does not affect the General Education or Field Period® requirements according to each student's entering status.
