NUR-456 Population and Community-Based Nursing

This is a theory and practicum nursing course where the student integrates knowledge based in science and grounded in the humanities which explores the care of populations and professional role development to ensure a solid educational foundation.  The focus is on population health with specific emphasis on two components: population health science, with its roots in epidemiology, and the art and science of nursing within the community setting.  Special emphasis is placed on reflective practice in a collaborative team approach to provide holistic care across the lifespan.
