Minor Fields of Study
Students may elect to complete one or more minor programs that complement a major field of study, enhance career opportunities, or provide in-depth study in areas of interest.
Minor programs at Keuka College consist of a minimum of 15 credit hours. At least one-third of the credits required for a minor must be completed through Keuka College. Students pursuing a minor must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.00 in courses applied to the minor unless otherwise specified.
Students considering a minor should plan carefully and consult with their academic advisor as early as possible. Completion of both major and minor requirements may require early course planning, particularly when minor requirements include alternate-year offerings or when major requirements provide limited scheduling flexibility. Students wishing to declare a minor must submit a Change of Academic Program form to the Office of Records and Registration.
Students receiving Title IV financial aid must complete minor requirements concurrently with degree requirements. Minor coursework that extends enrollment beyond the time required to complete the major or degree program is not eligible for Title IV funding. Therefore, students may not declare or continue a minor that would require enrollment beyond the completion of their degree requirements unless an approved exception has been granted. Students seeking an exception should contact the Office of Records and Registration.
