COM-321 Digital Space and Social Change

This course explores the creation and maintenance of digital public spaces by looking at how digital media ignites social movements, agitates popular and political entities, and inspires (or undermines) social change. Students interrogate information use and misuse, practice transdisciplinary research methodologies, and cultivate multimodal composition and digital literacy skills. Provides an introduction to public sphere theory, visual and digital rhetoric.
