Change of Major

Students wishing to declare a new major must submit a Change of Program form to the Registrar’s Office. The student should make an appointment with the Division Chair for the new major to determine if they meet the entrance requirements. If accepted, the student will be assigned a new advisor.

Traditional exploratory students must declare a major no later than the completion of the spring semester of the sophomore year. Evening and Online students enrolled in an exploratory track must declare a major as soon as they meet the requirements to be enrolled in their desired program of study.

A student considering changing or declaring a major should recognize that completion of all prerequisite and major requirements may delay graduation. Change of Program forms can be found on the Registrar’s Office website.
