Chemistry Minor

MINOR.CHMMIN

The Chemistry minor is intended to allow students to supplement their skill set with a stronger background in chemistry. Additional preparation in chemistry is valuable for students intending to pursue graduate studies, professional studies (e.g., medicine, optometry, veterinary,), or to seek employment in biological, environmental, pharmaceutical, or other medicine-related fields.

Minor Requirements

The minor requires a total of 6 chemistry lab courses, two of which must be at the 300 level or above.

Complete all of the following:

CHM-111	General Chemistry I † *	4
CHM-112	General Chemistry II † *	4
CHM-206	Organic Chemistry I †	4
CHM-207	Organic Chemistry II †	4

Complete two of the following:

CHM-310	General Biochemistry †	4
CHM-315	Analytical Chemistry †	4
CHM-328	Introduction to Physical Chemistry †	4
CHM-340	Environmental Chemistry	4

* Also fulfills a General Education requirement; 
† Liberal Arts Credit

Requirements Summary
Complete all minor requirements
Achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.00
Achieve a minor GPA of 2.00
At least 1/3 of the coursework completed at Keuka College

Students who major in biochemistry are not eligible to earn a chemistry minor.

The student is ultimately responsible for ensuring that all minor requirements are met satisfactorily.
