OCC-431 Theory and Practice II
This laboratory course focuses on the development of skills and therapeutic techniques that support clients' engagement in the occupations of daily life. Students will develop assessment and intervention skills and related competencies for: wheelchair seating and positioning of adults and pediatric populations, mobility (both community and other functional areas), eating and feeding for adults and pediatric populations (including dysphagia management), home evaluation and safety, work and productivity, and ergonomics. Students will integrate occupational therapy theories and frames of reference as these apply to an understanding of the clinical skills taught in this course.
