AEI-375 Interpreting Specialized Settings

An exploration of the use of translation, consecutive interpreting and simultaneous interpreting between ASL and English within various settings. Emphasis is on religious, performing arts, medical, psychological, legal and educational contexts. Attention is given to the register variation and technical vocabulary peculiar to each area. Lab hours focus on practical interpreting simulations.
