Information Security provides a foundation in the fundamental physical, technical, and application level protocols and procedures to safeguard digitized data and information. Topics include TCP/IP; identification and authentication; authorization and access control; auditing and accountability; cryptography; physical security; network security; operation security; operating system security; and application security. Case studies will integrate these fundamentals into workplace experiences linking technology to social norms, market considerations, legal and ethical dimensions.
