NU-202 Nursing as a Profession
This course is administered and completed at Finger Lakes Health College of Nursing - This 2-credit course explores the journey of role socialization from student nurse to new graduate while analyzing the impact of societal trends, genetics, healthcare issues, scope of practice and the responsibility and requirements of licensure. Investigation into employment and preparation is also discussed. Throughout the course students have opportunities to perfect their methodological skill set of critical thinking and problem solving. Finally, the student is able to utilize their knowledge of disciplined inquiry through participation in evidence-based learning activities contributing to their professional identity.
Prerequisite
Must be enrolled in the Nursing major in partnership with Finger Lakes Health College of Nursing.
