MAT-321 Differential Equations

This course examines aspects of the theory of ordinary differential equations and techniques of solving differential equations, including separable equations, exact equations, first order linear differential equations, and various second order linear differential equations. Linear second order differential equations with constant coefficients will be studied. Techniques for solving equations will include variation of parameters and the method of unknown coefficients. In addition, applications where differential equations model physical situations will be examined. Where appropriate, software will be used to help illustrate ideas and perform computations.
