Adult and Online Education (AOE)

Keuka College offers degree programs throughout New York State and online for non-traditional students with busy lifestyles. Our degree programs position students for career advancement connect with the needs of employers. AOE students complete their degrees in online, hybrid, and/or off-campus face-to-face formats. AOE students are typically employed full-time during the day; therefore, class time is typically scheduled in the evening at off-campus locations. Students move through their program in a cohort model, creating opportunities for networking and support with their peers. A cohort is a class comprised of approximately 8-30 students who progress through their degree program together. Students who succeed in our programs are self-directed and goal-oriented individuals, looking to advance their careers. AOE programs that are offered include:

Pathway Program options are also available for undergraduate students in need of additional general education requirements outside of their major requirements. Students may take additional credits through Keuka College online course offerings to fulfill any additional degree requirements before, during, or after their program of study.

AOE Undergraduate Application Requirements

1. Completion of approximately 60 transferable credit hours from Keuka College or another accredited college/post-secondary institutions and/or accredited programs.
2. Students needing more than 18 additional credits outside of their program may be accepted on a conditional basis.
3. Nursing applicants must hold a current registered and unencumbered NYS Registered Nurse license.
4. Cumulative grade point average in prior academic coursework of at least 2.00 on a 4.00 scale for Organizational Management and Criminal Justice Systems and a 2.50 on a 4.00 scale for Nursing and Social Work.
5. Submission of all official college and military transcripts for transfer evaluation.
6. Completion of the Keuka College health and meningitis forms.
7. Completion of the admissions application and payment of the non-refundable admission fee.
8. Successful completion of an interview with a representative from the AOE, as needed.
9. Payment of the required enrollment deposit.
10. Submission of final High School transcript or GED certificate (This is not required for students who have previously earned an associate’s degree).

*Acceptance of applicants with prior felony convictions is not guaranteed. Exception to policy forms may be requested in special circumstances.

Undergraduate Conditional Acceptance
Conditional Acceptance will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Conditional acceptance to any program is at the discretion of the Division Chair. All terms of the conditional acceptance will be outlined in the student’s letter of conditional acceptance. Students not meeting the terms of a conditional acceptance, as outlined in their letter of conditional acceptance, will be administratively withdrawn from the program. After a student is administratively withdrawn from the program, they may no longer attend classes and will be responsible for all costs incurred.


AOE Graduate Application Requirements

Keuka College expects its graduate students to exhibit high professional standards and academic excellence in the areas of leadership, research, communication, and critical thinking.
Applicants for graduate study must have completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum grade-point-average (GPA) of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale). Students not meeting the minimum standard may be admitted into the program on a conditional basis.
Keuka College utilizes a self-application process. Students who wish to apply for graduate study must submit the following items to be considered:
1. Application form with non-refundable application fee.
2. Personal/professional goals statement.
3. Essay as described in the application (not required for nursing applicants).
4. Letter(s) of recommendation from those who can attest to your potential to be successful at graduate level work.
5. Official transcripts from all colleges previously attended.
6. Current resume.
7. Health forms (with the exception of programs that operate fully online).
8. The results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (for international students).
9. Nursing applicants must hold a current registered and unencumbered NYS Registered Nurse License.
10. Personal interview and on-site writing sample, as needed.
11. Payment of the required enrollment deposit.
12. Some programs have additional application requirements as outlined on the graduate application and our website.


Specific master’s degree requirements may vary across all programs. Completed application files will be forwarded to the appropriate graduate program. The Division will then review the potential student’s academic background and qualifications and will make appropriate recommendations for admission status. Students will receive official notification of acceptance or denial from Keuka College admissions.
The College may admit students to the graduate programs up to the start of each semester. However, to ensure a smooth and effective enrollment process, Keuka College encourages potential students to apply early. Incomplete application files will not be considered for admission and therefore delay the student’s acceptance into a graduate program.

All documents submitted as part of the application process become the permanent possession of Keuka College and cannot be returned to the applicant or forwarded to a third party.
