Campus

The Keuka College community of scholars, students, and administrators vigorously supports the essential role that student life plays in guiding the development of young adults. Co-curricular, social, and recreational activities, along with competitive women’s and men’s intercollegiate athletic teams and a renewed campus ministry program, complement Keuka College’s academic programs, leadership in experiential learning, and splendid lakeside campus.

Hegeman Hall is the primary academic building on campus and houses faculty offices for the Divisions of Humanities and Fine Arts, Education and Psychology, Nursing, and Applied Health and Wellness. The Career Design Center, Global Affairs, and Experiential Learning Offices along with the Office of Accessibility are housed in this building.

Harrington Hall houses the Nursing Simulation Lab space on the first floor. Its upper floors serve as a residence hall for students.

The Lucretia Davis Jephson Science Center houses faculty offices for Mathematics, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, and Sustainability. This center for the sciences also features a 150-seat auditorium, laboratory, greenhouse, and computer lab.

Strong Hall houses classrooms and the Information Technology department.

Lightner Library is the intellectual center of the Keuka College community, where users can access information and connect in an open, positive learning environment. Lightner Library provides access to information in a variety of formats. There are reference librarians available Monday through Friday, and students and faculty can obtain materials not available on site through the library’s Interlibrary Loan service.

The library houses:

  • The Academic Success Center on the main floor with the ASK Desk, access to computers, printers, and , comfortable study spaces, as well as support from academic professionals and a calendar of drop-in events.
  • The Academic Learning Commons on the lower level, which includes workstations, study rooms, and a snack shop.
  • Collaborative space and quiet study areas throughout the two main floors.
  • The Lightner Art Gallery, where a variety of exhibitions and shows are held each year.

The library’s hours vary during the year, so it is always a good idea to check their website or call the Circulation Desk at (315) 279-5632.

The JMW Recreation and Athletics Center features a primary gymnasium, auxiliary gym, fitness center, and weight room. It serves both the physical education program and the recreational and intercollegiate sports interests of students, faculty, staff, and area residents. The College competes in the prestigious Empire 8 Conference.

The David Dahlstrom Student Center houses the Geiser Dining Commons, the Commuter Student Lounge, the Esports arena, the Hawkins Lounge, and staff working in various areas of student affairs. The Geiser Dining Commons hours can be found online.

Keuka Commons is the home of the Health and Counseling Center; Alumni Relations and Development; Human Resources; the Division of Business and Management; the Division of Criminal Justice and Social Work; the campus bookstore; and the Wolf Den Café, serving bistro fare and Starbucks coffee. Café hours can be found online. The first floor also houses a group exercise studio featuring hundreds of on-demand video workout offerings for individual students, clubs, or teams.

The Commons also provides four state-of-the-art classroom spaces with technology that the College’s faculty can use interactively during lectures. Additionally, there are 45 faculty and staff offices on the second floor; three conference rooms; and a suite dedicated to Conference Services. 

Ball Hall, the oldest campus building named for the College’s founder, houses students on its upper three floors and accommodates many of the College’s administrative offices on the ground and first floors. Offices for Admissions, Financial Aid, Records and Registration, Student Accounts, Marketing and Communications, and the Business Office are housed in this building, as well as the George and Frances Ball Foundation Executive Suite, home to the President and senior administration.

Norton Chapel provides Keuka College with a beautiful, inspiring, spiritual, and reflective setting. This steep-roofed, vaulted-ceiling building houses a majestic pipe organ and the Stephanie Lynn Pierce Meditation Room. The Chapel hosts church services, ceremonies, and all-campus convocations.

Residence Halls, in addition to Ball and Harrington, include Davis, Space, Saunders, Blyley, Keuka Park Apartments, and Strong Apartments.
