Pre-Medicine, Pre-Veterinary, Pre-Dental, and Pre-Optometry

Admission requirements for the professional schools vary. Most of these programs require a broad liberal arts education with a strong background in the sciences. The individual faculty advisors and the preprofessional advisory committee work with all pre-professional students to develop programs that meet the requirements for entry to the professional school. Although these schools typically do not require a specific major, most students complete a major in biology to be best prepared for entrance exams as well as the intense professional school curriculum.

Keuka College has an Early Admissions Program (EAP) agreement for Osteopathic Medicine, Podiatry, and Dentistry with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Current students who would like to pursue this option should work closely with their academic advisor. Incoming students can also be eligible to apply for this program. They should work closely with their admissions counselor during the admissions process.
