NUR-369 Bioenergetics and Metabolism
This course provides an in-depth study of the chemical structure and function of biomolecules (nucleic acids, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids) as well as vitamins/cofactors, enzymes, hormones, and their roles in bioenergetic processes and the regulation of metabolic pathways. Epidemiological principles and ecological factors that guide appropriate screening and education, as well as evidence-based approaches to the care of persons experiencing disorders of metabolism will be explored.
