This course treats the script to screen process as a problem to be solved. Students study the language of film and filmmaking in order to understand how stories, words, and ideas are translated into images and actions on the big screen. By focusing specifically on films developed from books and plays, students learn to evaluate, interpret, and analyze the purpose, context, and audience of textual and visual media.
