EDU-004 Safety in Schools Workshop
This workshop focuses on safety education, covering topics such as alcohol and substance abuse prevention, fire and arson prevention, as mandated by Education Law section 808. It also emphasizes the importance of personal health and safety, nutrition, and the effects of dangerous or abusive environments on students' ability to learn. This workshop fulfills a requirement for New York State teacher certification and is graded on a pass/fail basis, with an "S" for satisfactory completion or a "U" for unsatisfactory.
